How does a Prashna chart answer a question?
Prashna means question. Instead of using a birth chart, Jyotish casts a chart for the moment and place the question is asked, then reads four things: the rising sign and its ruler (you), the Moon (your mind), the house that governs the matter, and the planets that support or press on it. This tool follows those classical steps and explains each one. It is an educational reading, not a prediction.

Common questions
Does the chart give a yes or no answer?
It gives a tendency: favourable, leaning favourable, mixed, or needs patience. A chart cannot replace your judgment, and no honest astrologer promises a fixed outcome.
Why does asking again give a different chart?
A Prashna chart belongs to one moment. Asking the same question repeatedly to get a better answer is not considered valid practice. Ask once, with a sincere mind.
What is the 1 to 108 number?
Traditional Prashna uses a number the questioner names. The 108 navamsas of the zodiac give nine to each sign, so the number selects the rising sign. Leave it blank to use the exact time instead.
Is my question stored?
No. The chart is calculated in your browser and your question is not sent anywhere. Place search, if you use it, sends only the place name to a geocoding service.
